On Wednesday we experienced a consolidated and mostly stable snowpack. The route we took was Snow Lake TH > Source Lake Trail > Great Scott's Bowl > Pineapple Pass. We hiked the entire way other than a small descent down to Source Lake before heading back up. The Snow Lake trail side was ~50/50 melted out with a lot of thin snowpack - so keep an eye out for that. As you can see from the picture, Source Lake basin still has pretty decent coverage. Though with all of the water you can hear, it's going fast. As you can see from the other picture, Pineapple basin looks pretty good! We believe to have experienced fresh snow as it was mostly smoothed out with no dirt/debris, which we saw the entire way in+up until we reached the final basin. Turns were creamy and we took skiers left Foggy (?) bowl down. The entrance will probably only hold a few more days and NOTE that there is some considerable water running in this area (see picture). We had to negotiate some sizeable "holes". Great Scott is the safer descent, though there are some patches starting to open up there. Once down, we opted to hike out. The snow was sun cupped and filthy. You'd probably have better luck on skis than we did on our splitboards. All in all, another great day out.
If you lost a red black crow ski - I have it. Find me on TAY (FB).
