Observations

We could not visually confirm the start zone, so it could be a point-release or a glide avalanche. The size of the debris seems to indicate glide, the debris field held small pieces of trees and was approximately 8’ tall. It happened sometime between when we left Source Lake to skin up Big Trees and when we returned from Pineapple Pass, approximately between 10:30-11:30am. Weather was mostly snowing/overcast with one very brief sun break.
