Wet slabs (2-3 in thick) releasing with every turn in size D1-D1.5 on slopes >35 degrees. Ski cutting the slope and skiing the slide path helped mitigate the problem.

Observations

Weather was mostly cloudy for the day with rising temps, with some periods of heavy snow and minimal solar radiation. Even so, lots of natural wet loose avalanche activity on N facing aspects in the KAZ from melt off of cliffs throughout the day and evidence of recent natural wet loose from the day before.

Snow was 2-12 inches of light powder in the morning on top of a consolidated layer. Snowpack was right side up in the morning, then got wet, heavy, and reactive as temps rose throughout the day. Much more stable once in Kendall trees.
