Observations

I skied Pineapple Pass late afternoon. All of the new snow from the parking lot up to the top of the pass was either saturated or sun affected with a .5-1” sun crust on top of soft snow in the basin. It made the skiing less than wonderful.

Lots of wet looses of a variety of sizes was observed at all elevations around the Chair Peak basin. Lots of roller balls from trees and cliffs shedding with some having triggered at least one small storm slab on a short 40-45 deg slope on a NW aspect on the side of the Pineapple basin.
