Observed Avalanches

Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Three D2 avalanches were observed near the Early Winters Creek headwaters. I observed Two that came off the WNW head wall at the head of the hairpin.

As told to me , one D2 Avy came down LB1 path on Hwy 20. The observer noted that the LB1 Avy had a bicycle rider in the path who was filming as the avalanche came down. The observer yelled a warning but the rider seemed slow to get out of the way.
