Observations

Checked station temps around 11:00, arrived at the Summit West lot around 16:00 to find discouragingly warm temps(~38 car thermometer). Skinning out the PCT we were bombarded by large tree bombs and less than ideal warmed snow that packed firmly. We reluctantly ascended up to about 3500’ before the temps swung back down and the precip turned back on. We continued our ascent to find great snow, generally stable conditions, and cold temps on the knob. 35deg + slopes let loose some chasing sluffs. Overall great skiing above 3800’. No pit data, but conditions changed noticeably underfoot every 500’ vert.
