Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Skinned up in the trees west of the Phantom to the bench at 5200’. Big gusts of wind and lots of snow blowing around, but no shooting cracks were observed. The storm snow remained pretty loose and unbonded to the crust 18”-2’ below. Test slopes were unreactive. Open pitches and convexities had some light sluffing.
