Observations

Variable precip throughout day, including periods of 1cm/hour rates. Bit of graupel today, in addition to the ample graupel from yesterday. Occasional periods of light, NW wind, but no evidence of wind slabs at treeline and below. Two pits at Snow Lake Divide yielded ECTX, CTN (one on a north aspect, the other south), but two deep-tap tests from the south-aspect pit on the 03/08 layer produced sudden collapses. One DTH (SC) dn 90cm on 03/08 crust and another DTN but it failed (SC) on subsequent super-hard taps, again on 03/08 dn 90cm. Rouding facets observed within the crust. Avg height of snow at the divide was 300cm, with several other crusts present, in addition to 03/08. Still wet/moist grains below the 03/08 crust.
