Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Skier triggered avalanche dropping off Mazama Ridge towards Paradise Rd E. 1 skier caught, but grabbed a tree and did not get swept. Crown roughly 16” deep; seemed to slide on early March crust & related to the persistent weak layer issue forecasted from NE to NW aspects. No warnings in the sense of cracking of whoomphing.
