Observations

Obs a recent avalanche in Se aspect at 5,600’. See photo. Found about 6-8” of “hot pow” on north, same on south but south was cooked. Mix of stubborn and easy hand shears on the way up. Dug in non wind loaded area, ne aspect near 6,000’. Hst 20cm. See photo. Got failure but no propagation about 3cm above most recent crust on what looked small facets. Larger rounding facets found below the stout crust 35cm down, but the layer wasn’t consistent in our pit and we didn’t get any results on it.
