Observations

At approxiamately 11:30am we had just witnessed a small soft slab avalanche triggered by a tree bomb and we were discussing leaving the area. Looked above us and saw another, larger slide heading right for us. I was able to ski just to my right to the edge of the runout zone, however, I observed my partner caught in the slide. As he was was being carried down he became submerged in the snow and as the debri settled his helmet and face popped out of the top of the snow. I was able to dig him out and assess for injuries; he was good other than some minor pain. As I got my splitboard halves back on and we started to leave the area we experienced a very, very loud and prevelant collapse in the snowpack that felt and sounded like it involved the entire area we were in. Proceeded to leave the area while witnessing a couple more small slides triggered by tree bombs. Natural slides and major signs of warming were taking place during our exit out of the zone. Very eerie day out there.
