None reported

Observations

Circumnavigated Chair Peak clockwise. Loose wet avalanches from prior days on southern exposures. Some loose dry on steep northern aspects from prior days as well. Surface hoar fairly widespread between Great Scott Basin and Melakwa Pass. Light wind except on snow lake itself where there was a strong E wind (11:30am) and Bryant Col where there was a N wind in the morning (8:30am). Wind blow snow was prevalent on many aspects, but not much accumulation and no signs of propagation where I travelled. Observed some crowns presumably from wind slabs in a couple of steep gullies. Breakable crust on most aspects except shady N aspects which had 12-16” of unconsolidated snow.
