Comments:
Isolated soft slabs and dry loose was being triggered by snowshoes on the top layer (above Valentine’s Day crust). The entire layer wanted to slide; there was no stability.

None reported

Observations

Variable snow today up past 3k’. Sun facing aspects were low coverage and weak. Shaded areas in the trees were better for traction, but it was a mix of difficulties getting across due to slope angle.
Top layer started refreezing as the sun set.
