Observations

Very sunny and warm out there in the morning. Small rollerballs and very moist snow on the ascent to the Chair Peak shoulder. Some wet avalanche activity was noted on the SE side of Chair Peak, looked fresh. N Slope had some wind textured features up high and small cornices on the ridge. 5 in of nice dry snow over firm crust on the way down; a few spots of thin breakable crust but those seemed isolated; did not observe any surface hoar. Mostly calm winds throughout the day and high scattered clouds came in by early afternoon. Skiing out via Snow Lake Divide there was quite a bit of debris coming off trees and ankle deep boot pen but the Valentines Day crust still felt supportable.
