Observations
We dug a snow pit at 4,800’ on an east facing slope. Snowpack is 120cm deep and we found a reactive layer 20cm deep. The column test failed on the 10th arm tap on wet sugary layer. Snow below this layer was 1 finger hard and the slab above was fist hard.
