Viewed from afar but appeared to be on new snow interface from last night - fairly shallow. See photo below.

Observations

Tests performed at the top of the swift creek basin just below the road to artists point. Performed ECT, no result. Late Jan weak layer observed at 65 cm, roughly 1 cm thick. Layer above crust noticeably weaker than the crust. Grains in the weak layer are rounded but not cohesive.
