Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

We stayed on the Obstruction Point road due to generally breakable crust snow conditions that did not look to be decent skiing in Maggie's area so toured to a new area. Observed evidence of small wet loose activity likely from a few days ago (whenever last sun was.). Lots of cornices along the ridge above the road and areas scoured clean - all generally SSW facing. S/SW wind was transporting the small amount of new snow that was falling.

Media

Cornices along the ridge to the south
Roller balls and wet loose activity
South/southwest facing areas scoured

Advanced Observations

Observed Avalanche Problem #1:
Wet Loose
Comments:
We saw evidence of small wet loose slides in several areas along the SSW facing areas of the ridge above the road. Smaller than D1.
Observed Avalanche Problem #2:
Storm Slab
Comments:
The small amount of new snow that was falling was being transported. Skin track was frequently drifted in upon our return to an area after 1-2 hours. Observed extensive cornices on North facing side of the ridge in this area.
