Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

We were pleasantly surprised to find fresh snow at Windy Pass/Windy Acres. Depending on scouring, depth ranged from 0-5 cm.

SH to 1cm on northerly aspects and throughout Olallie Meadows.

Stout Easterly flow made for a cold descent into Cold Creek at mid-day. Met a pair of smiling backcountry skiers transitioning for a second lap at Windy Pass who joyfully described ski conditions as "awful' and "terrible".

Nordic conditions were awesome at Cabin Creek in the early morning and quite good on the Snoqualmie system.
