Observations

15 cm of new snow bonded well to the pencil hard melt freeze crust. Dramatically improved skinning conditions. Mostly skinning in new snow, occasionally could feel crust which was super edgeable at most times except for in wind scoured locations. Decided to try skinning up double diamond thanks to improved skinning, but still somewhat challenging due to variable snow depth. Dug profiles at 5000 ft in Big Chief bowl on west aspect. Height of snow 200 cm. Snow pack moist for top 100cm we looked at. Snow pack tests produced no results.
