Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

We dug a pit on a west facing slope at 5,500 ft of elevation in Blewett Pass. Both Compression tests and extended column tests had "no results". We did notice some basil facets that were starting to round at the bottom of the snowpack, about 100cm down. We also noticed surface hoar. In most spots it was about a cm thick/tall.
