Weather observations at Surveyors Lake above Silver Fir area at 3980ft, east aspect, mostly open/not treed. Sunny and clear skies, no precip, temperature -9 Celsius, light east winds, light-plus gusts, no blowing snow. HS 216cm, Hst 5-6cm, boot pen 24cm/4cm ski pen.

No avalanches were observed.

Snowpack Observations

Snow pit tests in the same area, yet shaded on a 30 degree slope. CT12 RP down 7cm, CT18 RP down 40cm. ECTV down 8cm, ECTX down 24cm.

Skiing conditions on east aspects were breakable crust above 3750 ft, dust on crust below 3600, and ok in between.
