Blowing Snow from the N-NE

small wind slab was observed but was stubborn.

Snowpack Observations

Variable Snow on all aspects. NE aspects below tree line were variable with pockets of wind scouring and good snow. SW aspects near tree line were 3" of unconsolidated snow over a firm crust. Pockets of wind slab mixed with sastrugi. Higher elevations showed wind loading on SW sides and tremendous amounts of blowing snow from the N-NE. Cornices were stubborn on test slopes.
