Soggy. The entire morning moderate rain was falling. Flooding in effect. We were sheltered in trees and at a low enough elevation that wind was not noticeable.
About a foot of very wet snow was present at the parking lot, about 1000ft. We were surprised that there was only about a variable 2 feet of fully saturated snow at the boulderfield at 2000-2300ft. The faces above the boulderfield were below threshold, so I was not concerned about avalanches in that location. We turned around there due to hearing crashing boulders from nearby, and the gore tex being fully soaked through. Creeks were flooding, and water was slightly higher upon return.
