This wind loaded area had significantly deeper height of snow than more sheltered locations and stability tests were failing with sudden collapses.
This sheltered location had significantly less snow. While the 11/22 facets were weaker in this location, stability tests produced no results.
Older avalanche that likely ran during the storm on 12/9.
Ridges at higher elevations are nearly scoured to the ground.
Valley fog in the morning, but clear skies above 6000ft.
