Fresh shallow wind slabs near ridgelines on W aspects. Older and thicker slabs on E aspects. Cornices are large and look primed to fail.
A large-very large avalanche was observed in Union Creek. Based on the debris, it appears to have failed post-storm. E aspect, 6350. Crown 250' wide and 4-5 feet deep. Ran ~800 vertical feet.
Breakable surface crust transitions to softer snow as you ascend in elevation. Heavily wind-affected snow near ridgelines.
