Snowpack Observations
2ft of snow at the Salmon La Sac trailhead. Roads have not been groomed, but there has been a lot of motorized traffic.
At 5400ft W aspect

The snowpack consists of 107cm of strong right side up snow. The only visible layer is the December 8th freezing rain crust, buried 94cm deep. Snow stability tests showed no results on this layer and the column could not be pried off the crust.
Recent wind loading was obvious and hand shears showed a 25cm wind slab over soft snow.
