Traveled from Blewett Pass to upper Tronson Meadows to observe the new storm snow and the underlying surfaces.
Diamond head proper is filling in but still far below the snowpack necessary for travel or skiing. (see photo)
Approximately 10cm of snow at the trailhead, increasing steadily to 20cm at 4500ft. At 5000ft there was evidence of previous wind transport with pockets of wind drifted snow up to 45cm deep. In sheltered areas, the average HS was 30cm consisting of F -> 4F DF and PP. Where I traveled the early December crust and the Dec 8th crust were not present.
