Steady snowfall (S1-S2) untill 3:00 pm, when there was a brief sun break. Winds were light early in the day, but increased as the day progressed. By the end of the day there was significant wind drifting at the pass level.
Height of snow at the top of Skyline ridge ranged from 140-160 cms. The new snow was slightly denser than the older snow, but seemed fairly well bonded. On small steep test slopes we could produce cracking and small slides (6-10 inches deep), but there was limited propegation on these slopes. We observed evidence of wind transport in the later half of the day, but did not travel in terrain where we would expect to find wind slabs. Coverage is still limited and there are many trees and bushes to avoid.
