Via USGS: On 3/9 at about 20:00, a good sized avalanche occurred on the west side of Mount St. Helens, depositing into the South Fork Toutle River. Based on the seismic duration of the event, probably something in the D3 to D4 range. Interesting event since usually the west side gets wind-scoured.
