"Skied from ridgeline down a rib in a previously burned area. This a tree run from top to bottom with open glades, some steep rollovers and rock features. Skied first 500' vertical with no problems. My partner stopped at the top of a steep rollover and triggered a soft slab release that stepped down 20-24" to what we think is the Christmas crust. It ran approx. 600' vertical through the trees and was approx. 100-150' wide. Finally hung itself up on a treed bench. We had skied this line two weeks prior with no problems. This slope is sheltered and not impacted by any recent wind events. No one was caught in the slide."
Location is just the general vicinity.
