Crowns of large to very large slab avalanches on Wy'east Face and above the Newton/Clark Glacier that ran naturally during the 4/3-5 storm. Fresh rollerballs and shallow loose wet slides began mid-morning on 4/6 on easterly aspects. The most impressive avalanche was a D3+ on Wy'East face that broke several feet thick at the same crown site as 5+ other very large natural avalanches that ran throughout the winter beginning in December. It is suspected that the same icy bed surface keeps reloading and repeatedly producing avalanches.
