Avalanche was sighted Sunday 1/9, the one day with good vis. It is unclear when the avalanche occurred, probably sometime around 1/6, maybe more recently, as reports were that the crown was easily visible and well defined from Heather Meadows. The avalanche propagated across terrain, and around a ridge that separated aspects and gullies. It may have run up to 1000ft. No additional information is known. No photos have been provided so far.
Unknown crown depth, but easily visible from several miles away. Unknown weak layer, although we suspect it may have failed on the Solstice Weak Layer.
