Checked out the debris field from the Newton Clark avalanche from 1/2-1/7 storm cycle. Toe of debris was at 5500 ft in Newton Creek. Debris easily 15-20 ft deep in places with blocks up to sedan sized. Multiple other “smaller” D1, D2, D3 avalanches on upper Newton above the falls multiple aspects SE-S-SW at 7800 ft. Also cross loaded slope avy mid slope on N aspect of pea gravel ridge at 6400 ft mid slope. 1-3 ft crown estimate. Lots of natural avalanche activity on many aspects and elevations this storm cycle.
None reported
No signs of instability on day of travel, some slight roller balling on SW aspects after 12 pm. Lots of old avalanche crowns and debris around the compass rose. W aspect below Lamberson Butte at 6000 ft went as well. D2 1-2 ft crown.
