Dug a pit at 3600' on an E aspect just north of Blewett Pass. HS 100cm. We didn't see signs of large avalanches in the area - some small naturals along the road, 3-4" crowns on small steep slopes with low coverage. No blowing snow observed, but there were signs of earlier wind deposits up higher on NE-SE aspects. Our day started with low vis and moderate snowfall, but by 2pm the precip let up and some patchy blue sky was spotted! We didn't find any faceted grains where we dug. Our compression test produced a sudden planar fracture at 67cm on the second tap and the block slid easily and cleanly off with a pull. Profile attached.
