Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Skinned from Bennett Pass sno park to ski the first low angle clear cut NW aspect. No signs of storm slab either natural or on road cuts on way in. Did not trigger any slabs on the road cuts as we skinned in and tested. Hand pits showed no cohesion to the upper low density snow in this sheltered terrain. Pole probes felt right side up. Ski pen waist deep where no trail had been broken. Ski pen Boot deep in old skin track from day before. Boot pen never ending.
