Today we found a dry snowpack below 4000 ft. Above that, we found 20 cm of new snow on top of a thin ( 1cm thick) crust from yesterdays warm-up. Below this crust the grains were moist. At 5400ft, I dug a quick pit and found a HS of 170 cm. The new snow that fell was on the denser side. Overall, It seemed like the new
snow that fell was bonding well to the MF crust from yesterday. Winds were light and out of the SE throughout the day.
