Natural slab avalanche that triggered either the afternoon of 12/18 or morning of 12/19. It ran down the gully where the Welcome Pass trail crosses the gully at approximately 2,800 ft. On morning of 12/18, the gully had ~1 ft of snow with no obvious avalanche hazard visible immediately above. Upon crossing the gully on 12/19, there still was no obvious crown over the debris. It likely had been triggered in an area further above and run down the gully.
