Snowpack Observations
Below treeline, there is an average of 50-70 cms of snow. Coverage is still limited. Creeks and bushes are exposed.
Within the snowpack, 40-60 cms of snow from this past week sit on top of 10 cms of dense ice.
Informal snowpack tests highlighted 10 cms of denser new snow on the surface over 30 cms of colder snow from last night. This layer was unreactive in small test slopes early in the day, but became more reactive with warming during the day.
