Toured the Muir snowfield to complete Turns all Year on the 30th. Very cold, with consistent blowing wind (following a week of heavy snowfall and rain). The snow berm above Pebble Creek had a dramatic wind slab built up above it, which broke about 10-15ft deep and slid across the creek. Probably a D2 sized slide, definitely big enough that I stayed way high above the creek in bowl to the right, and stayed high on the ski down as well instead of taking the usual route summer down route directly across the berm.
3/10 skiing, but great views.
