Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

We were skinning above skyline on the way to the backside bowl when we experienced multiple whumpfs. Because of the instability we decided to ski the road for 2 laps instead of continuing.

We noticed some interfaces about 6-10inches below the surface in hasty pits and in crowns left by snow sliding off the maintenance building roofs.

The powder was fluffy and deep as forecasted. Plenty of sharks, logs, and bushes to watch out for still.
