Signs of Unstable Snow

I popped through a 4 foot hole between the true summit and where the Worm Flows Route connects to the crater rim - fell up to arms! I'd be very careful especially after this afternoon's heat and melt and I was not near the cornice edge. There was no observable evidence of any rock wells or other indication that I was above anything other than firm snowpack, well within the stable edge of the cornice.
