Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Traveled up to treeline on the ridge, and saw no significant build up of cornices following yesterday's winds. Above treeline the snow surface was wind scoured, while at treeline there were some pockets of wind deposited snow. Rapid warming throughout the day, however, due to the shallow new snow (1" - 2" with drifts up to 3") saw little evidence of wet loose activity. Experienced clumping of snow on skins underfoot as the snow warmed, making for more difficult travel.
