Comments:
After reaching the source lake area around noon-ish, we observed several snow clumps breaking off the cliff bands below chair peak onto the slopes below. Two of these triggered much larger loose wet slides which built momentum and picked up much more snow than originally expected. Though neither would likely fully bury a person, the second carried several ice blocks or large snow chunks, one of which nearly hit a couple backcountry tourers who were paused on their tour, the other (thankfully only after we had yelled enough for them to get out of the slide path), was nearly the size of a VW Beetle... either, given the size and momentum, would have caused serious injury which thankfully was narrowly avoided.

Day was very warm, mostly sunny with passing clouds. Snow was heavy and soft. Though we had originally intended a longer tour, we called the day early after the second observed slide.
