Observations
No signs of recent activity. On Thursday 4/1, snow was frozen hard from the tree line to summit but showed many signs of significant melting on Wednesday. There were several cornice failures on the east side of the route at 4800-5500'. The outer parts of the epic rim cornice have sagged a foot or two since last week. Afternoon sun Thursday softened slopes below 7,000' but cold temps and moderate winds keep things frozen above that. Spring snow condition prevailed.
