Observations

Took Domerie Divide Trail up towards Para Point/Mount Baldy later on in morning. Was careful of ascent up ridge due to steepness/exposure along ridge spine. From the ridge we first went to Para Point, then dropped down the Domerie Ridge towards Mount Baldy and finally ascended Mount Baldy.

Our group didn't notice any visible instabilities, apart from wet loose avalanche debris, but a couple hand shear tests I did in the morning demonstrated hard (zipper) crust with semi-planar breaks above 4.5k'.

We gave cornices a wide berth. Some of the cornices were the largest ones I've seen this low with 7'+ overhangs.

There was a lot of wind texturing evidence going west to east on higher exposed areas, e.g., Mount Baldy.

The morning had broken skies and was breezy (15mph gusts), but became clear skies in the afternoon and was very windy (20-30+mph gusts; ~15mph sustained)

Advanced Observations

Observed Avalanche Problem #1:
Cornice
Comments:
A large number of large overhanging cornices were on eastern aspects of ridges between Para Point/Mount Baldy, over on Easton Ridge, and Little Kachess.
Observed Avalanche Problem #2:
Wet Loose
Comments:
In addition to recent wet loose avy debris, our group noted wet loose debris of various qualities (pinwheels, rollerballs), triggered by humans (us).
