Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Skied W aspect off Crown Point and N and W off of Pickhandle. Infrequent small pockets of windblown snow with shooting cracks were observed, but were these features were small, isolated and found a mid elevations (not on ridgelines). Near the ridgelines the N and W aspects were wind scoured with softer snow below. Southerly aspects warmed significantly during the day.
