Travelled to the eastern side of Tronsen Head to ski some lines on the north aspect. Approached via Southern aspects in the drainage was firm freeze/thawed crust with 1-2 inches of powder on top in some locations. Northern aspects between 5,200 - 5,800 feet was 6-8 inches of new snow and wind swept powder which rode fantastic, northern aspects below 5,200 ft was 2-3 inch powder on firm crust. No signs of recent avalanches. Cornices are visible on the north aspect of the ridge on Tronsen Head. Weather was off and on between light snow and blue skies.
