Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Snow about 5k and above was pretty good skiing, there was a sun crust that got buried with about 5 inches new snow, and it skied well. Below that in the trees was a little heavier and tree bombs. Did an ECT on a SE facing slope about 5.8k. ECTN 14 BRK about 42 cm from the top. Precipitation S2, winds light to moderate out of W but with gusts near 6k ridgeline. Temps 30/31. HS 270 cm.
