Observations
Dug a pit in the entrance to Mainline, in the Kendal Adventure Zone. 12" soft snow above two layers of crust separated by about 1" of light, dry snow. Rutschblock test (6' x 4', 4' deep) resulted in a failure between the two crust layers after several light compressions (knee flexes). The failure propagated across the whole block.
