Observations

Overnighted up at Artist Point. Wind continued to blow all night. Found significant drifting in the early morning of 27Jan. Also encountered areas scoured clear down to the last major ice layer , typically found about 12" down, although found drifts of 20"+ frequently.. Under this layer I found 2-3" of dry loose followed by a significant second ice crust. Layers below this point were more cohesive. Experienced some areas where I would break the crust while traveling but did not propagate. With recent loading overnight, was definitely more concerned with storm load and wind drifts than from Tuesday.
